I agree on almost everything you said, but at least on my case, I have been waiting for a decent price drop to buy the game and this was it, got it for 29.99 on Amazon and I am happy, so I think it does serve the purpose in some way, though I have to say that i would have bought it on sale anyways free weekend or not, I do am padding myself on the back saying don't worry, the game will be much better next monday...
